While I realize as parents we continually pray for our children, I feel during the teen years they require more prayer and so do we. It is during these years our children will start to make decisions for themselves determining what things we taught them they take with them and which ones they will discard. I have spoken with some parents of teens who do not want to know what their teens are doing. I can not imagine not knowing what my children are thinking or doing. How can I pray effectively for them if I do not know the struggles they are dealing with? How can I communicate my love and God's love for them if they do not come to me or talk with me? While this does not mean I have not heard things I did not want to hear, it has allowed me to learn the why of what they are doing. I thought growing up was hard, being a mother is the hardest thing I have ever done so far.
I have prepared this page to be one where I can share blogs and prayers which have touched me as a parent. These which help to give me continued hope, remind me, strengthen me and encourage to me to keep looking up.
